LATEST NEWS: Fort Wayne Newspapers Three Rivers Festival Announced Return of Raft Race along with Largest Charitable Gifts  On Friday, April 19, 2013, the organizers of the Three Rivers Festival hosted a press conference to publicly recognize the largest charitable donation in the 45 year history of the Festival. Local businessmen and charitable philanthropists Bill Bean, of Hanning & Bean Enterprises, Inc., and Bruce Dye, of Hotel Fitness were in attendance.
The press conference announced the long-awaited return of the popular Raft Race to the Three Rivers Festival. For over two decades, The Raft Race was unofficially heralded as the second largest spectator event in Indiana, with hundreds of unique homemade rafts and floating devices entertaining the throngs gathered for miles along the riverbanks. After a 15 year hiatus, the Raft Race will return, thanks to the charitable donations, and will include over $14,000 in cash prizes to participants.
REMEMBER: Please don't bring your dog, cat, bird, ferret, snake, goat or emu to the Festival. On a hot July day, they'll be safer and happier in the shade at home than in the middle of a noisy Festival crowd. All animals (except service animals assisting disabled guests) are prohibited by law from Festival grounds.
