Volunteer Coordinator/Administrative Assistant


Working under the direction of the Executive Director, the Volunteer Coordinator/ Administrative Assistant is responsible for recruiting, managing and maintaining volunteers for The Three Rivers Festival. The coordinator should be experienced, professional, personable, organized and tech-savvy.  The Volunteer Coordinator/Administrative Assistant will also assist the organization’s overall functions, help where needed and be an integral member of the team.  [Full time–April thru August / Part time–September thru March]


Volunteer Coordinator

Manage, maintain and grow volunteers:

  • Recruit volunteers through connections, social media postings, volunteer fairs
  • Maintain database for volunteer sign up and scheduling
  • Check background on new volunteers
  • Plan and execute the post festival Volunteer Party
  • Coordinate volunteer benefits
  • Create and distribute volunteer newsletter
  • Work with committee chairs to establish duties and event volunteer needs
  • Oversee volunteer activity and needs throughout Festival
  • Maintain the Volunteer Check-In during the festival [Supplies/Snacks/Etc.]
  • Oversee volunteer committee (includes one evening per month for meeting)
  • Scheduling and recruiting for Admiral Andy appearances

Administrative Assistant

Assist with various duties in the office and during the festival, including but not limited to:

  • Answer phones
  • Routinely clean office area
  • Button sales and deliveries
  • Social media postings
  • Website updates
  • Creative writing and/or editing
  • Oversee Souvenirs [Volunteers, cash flow, inventory]
  • Oversee Concession Trailers [Volunteers, cash flow, inventory]
